The objective of the study was to identify and analyze potential social effects of the plans for the town’s urban growth. The fitness to the CIS network’s structural model is analyzed. An ethnographic analysis, as well as, quantitative and qualitative studies was performed. The level of satisfaction and perceived quality of life obtained was high and correlated with propensity to sustainability. The results are related to the emergence of a positive social identity that follows the ‘cohesion’ social model in poor and standard areas, whereas the ‘identification’ model is follow in well-structured urban areas.
