This paper explores the impact that environmental quality can have on achieving programme outcomes in a youth centre. In this research environmental quality comprises organisational, social and physical factors. Using the Milieu Therapy concept and the research of Rudolf Moos, a single case of a youth centre setting is examined. In order to study the effect of environmental quality on the programme outcomes, an in-depth qualitative investigation of the setting was conducted. This provides an opportunity to further explore the model of milieu therapy and assess the environmental quality of the setting.
