The living environment on the MMIs in Osaka Bay is changing gradually with new emerging MMIs' projects, which include different types of residential environments. The main goal of this study is to understand if the residential environment on MMI is suits the residents' expectation and needs. Specifically, this paper examined the importance of the view from the dwelling unite and its influence on residents' satisfaction with the living environment. Satisfaction is considered to be a key criterion for the post occupancy evaluation of the residential environment. By means of written questionnaire, on site residents from three MMIs, asked to evaluate their present residential situation on various attributes of their residential environment.
