The project described in this paper is the first United States appli-cation of telecommunications as a means of expanding human servicestraining. ased in North Carolina, the model of Creating a ClassroomEnvironment was selected to utilize telecommunications for trainingchild-care workers in understanding the interrelatedness betweenchildren's developmental needs and the physical environment thataccommodates them, the study compares different electronic nodes ofcommunications with face to face contact through pre and post testevaluations.
